Federal Polytechnic Offa is situated in Offa, Kwara State, Nigeria.

It is a popular higher education institution that has so many diploma and higher national diploma programs in several disciplines. The polytechnic in Offa, Nigeria began in 1992 with the vision of providing quality technical education to meet the needs of the local and national economies. A presidential fiat establishing the polytechnic was made just right by the Palace of His Royal Highness, Olofa of Offa, late Oba Mustapha Olawoore Olanipekun Ariwajoye II, by the then Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, during a state visit in 1991. The founding of the polytechnic was a statement of the government's commitment to expanding access to higher education in Nigeria. The founding of the polytechnic signified a new beginning to offa as an educational town and made it possible for young people from that area to have access to technical education. Initially we provided programs in various technical and vocational areas to meet the less than optimal labour pool of skilled workers in Nigeria. Over the years, we expanded our programs and established an excellent reputation in our educational offerings, which drew students from regions across Nigeria. In the early years of the polytechnic, commitment to the staff and administration was paramount as they strived to establish a solid academic foundation. With the continued assistance from both government and private entities, the polytechnic matured into a leader in training skilled professionals.

During the years following its establishment, the polytechnic made major progress in developing infrastructure and facilities to support its growing number of students. New academic buildings, laboratories, and workshops were built to support the learning experience, allowing the institution to offer more specialized, in-demand programs while serving more students seeking technical and vocational training. The polytechnic also made improvements to develop an environment conducive to academic and extra-curricular activities to provide a more holistic approach to student development. Today, Offa's polytechnic is regarded as one of the foremost institutions in the country for technical and vocational education, and the institution continues to fulfill its responsibility to train students for different sectors of the Nigerian economy. The institution remains committed to providing practical and innovative education that reflects industry standards and continues to grow its programs for the evolving needs of the workforce.
